Dr. Eliza Chan

Greetings everyone,

My name is Dr. Eliza (Kwok Ying) Chan. I am the President-elect of the Richmond Hospital Medical Staff Association for the term 2025-2026.

Clinically, I am an Emergency Physician at Richmond Hospital. I am also a mother of two daughters. I enjoy hobbies such as yoga, swimming, hiking, reading, and connecting with people, as well as learning new things.

My goals for our MSA are:

• Supporting and strengthening physician engagement and communication
• Enhance the voice of medical staff
• Caring for our care providers

The values that I bring to this leadership role are:

• Humility
• Compassion
• Empathy
• Accountability

My aspirations for our MSA are to collaborate with senior leadership, the Health Authority, and Doctors of BC to create an inclusive, psychologically safe organization where wellness, collegiality, civility, and diversity are valued and encouraged.

Through various activities and funding support for medical staff, we can make Richmond Hospital a thriving workplace, one that we are both happy and proud to be a part of.
