A very successful project, ED Team Rounds saw several journal clubs since its inception that involved physicians, RNs, educators and the ED manager. The rounds were built collaboratively with the nurses, using a case-based format around common ED issues. An Emergency/Psychiatry evening, to which Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurses were invited, was held as an opportunity to discuss difficult scenarios in the ED involving Mental Health patients. Additionally, a session to which Orthopedic Surgeons were invited provided an opportunity to review the application of a new splint and discuss the management of various orthopedic-related ED cases.
