In 2017, we reached out to staff and physicians to complete an organizational health survey to understand how we could better support you. More than 11,000 of us shared our thoughts, and established a starting point to drive real change at VCH. We learned we needed a clearer vision, more recognition, additional bottom-up innovation and supportive and inspiring leaders who care.

Two years later, we are doing the survey again to check in and see how we are doing. We want to know what’s changed for you. The oneVCH survey launches today across VCH, and will be open until October 25. Everyone is encouraged to share confidential feedback on what’s working and ways we can continue to improve. This survey is important, and I hope all of you will take part. Look for the survey link in your preferred email as noted at annual reappointments.

From the time we started our journey to improve our overall organizational health, a lot has happened along the way, including a new vision, purpose and values that were created in collaboration with leaders, staff and physicians. We’ve changed the way we recognize staff and physicians, and are bringing leaders across the organization together in new ways. The survey is most effective when the entire organization participates. If you want be part of building a better VCH – maybe tearing down barriers that stand in your way of providing exceptional, high quality care – this is your chance to tell us how. So be sure to have your voice heard – for you, your teammates, and ultimately, our patients and clients.

Just in case that’s not reason enough to take part, there will be prizes! After taking the survey, you can enter your email address to win team and individual prizes (your email address will not be linked to your survey responses). Individual prizes include a Samsung tablet, Amazon gift cards, a professional photo shoot and VCH clothing vouchers. And 10 teams will win a pop up party of their choice. Winners will be selected each week – the earlier you take the survey, the better the prize!

Here’s what else you need to know:

• We’ve listened and acted on your input from the 2017 survey – this is a mid-way check in to see how we’re doing along the journey.
• The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential and anonymous.
• The survey is mobile-friendly and can be completed at work or at home, on a computer, laptop, iPad, or smart phone.
