“This committee, which was comprised of 12 members from different medical and surgical specialties, was a forum for our medical education leaders to collaborate and engage our medical community in fostering a strong group of dedicated medical educators at Richmond Hospital. For existing medical educators, we made progress in increasing our attendance at the Teachers Certificate Program in enhancing and improving our skills as teachers. Three of our physicians completed the program last year and we are expecting seven more in the coming year.

As a University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine training site, we now provide medical training opportunities in 7 out of 8 core rotations for medical students and numerous electives in multiple specialties for medical trainees of all levels.”
