In March, Vivian Eliopoulos (VP Vancouver-Richmond Acute), Laura Case (VP Vancouver-Richmond Community), and Dean Chittock (VP Medicine, Quality, and Safety), joined the Richmond leadership team. After spending time on the units and with various teams across the Community of Care, they’re looking forward to partnering and collaborating with Richmond physicians so their teams can continue to thrive.
“The entire health care community here in Richmond really embraced and welcomed us. As we’ve been doing our walkabouts and meeting with you, we’ve appreciated the great conversations about the incredible work you and your teams do here every day, but also some of the challenges you face.
One thing that we heard loud and clear is the importance of maintaining your own identity here in Richmond. We’ve seen first-hand your strengths and capabilities, as well as the teamwork and care you bring to your work every day. We’ve also taken note of key areas that are lacking resources and support—and it’s now our job to ensure you have the tools available to continue to be one of the top community hospitals in Canada.
We look forward to working closely with you to remove barriers, ensure proper supports are in place, and working collaboratively to achieve our strategic priorities. If you have any questions or concerns, our door is always open—we would appreciate hearing from you.”
